This custom industrial machine enclosure provides a strong, modular solution for protecting equipment, isolating processes, and creating a defined barrier around machinery or automation systems. Constructed from Parco’s heavy-duty 40 Series T-slot aluminum extrusion, the enclosure combines a rigid structural frame with durable aluminum and composite paneling, multiple access points, viewing windows, and leveling casters for mobility and positioning.

The modular T-slot design provides the strength required for industrial applications while offering significantly more flexibility than a permanently welded enclosure. Heavy-Duty 40 Series T-Slot Aluminum Frame

The primary structure is built using Parco E40 Series aluminum extrusions, including E40-4040, E40-4040L, E40-4040L-BA, E40-4080L, and E40-4080VL profiles. These modular aluminum extrusions create a rigid framework while providing continuous T-slots for attaching panels, hinges, latches, accessories, and other components.

The extrusion system uses end fasteners, end connectors, and anchor fasteners to securely join the frame components. Unlike a welded steel structure, the T-slot aluminum system allows the enclosure to be assembled, serviced, and modified without cutting or welding.

Durable Aluminum & Composite Panel Construction

The enclosure incorporates several panel materials selected for durability and rigidity. Depending on the location and structural requirements, the design utilizes 1/8-inch aluminum, 3/8-inch aluminum, and 6 mm silver Alucobond composite panels.

The aluminum panels provide durable protection for areas where a heavier solid barrier is desired, while the Alucobond panels provide a rigid, professional-looking enclosure surface without unnecessary weight.

Panels are secured within the aluminum extrusion framework using panel gasket and panel retainers, creating a clean, finished installation while helping keep the panels securely positioned within the frame.

Multiple Access Doors

One of the major advantages of this enclosure is its extensive equipment access. Multiple hinged doors are incorporated into the front and sides of the enclosure, allowing operators or maintenance personnel to reach specific areas of the equipment without removing large sections of guarding.

Heavy-duty hinges and slam latches provide convenient opening and secure closure of the access doors. The modular construction also makes it possible to service or replace individual doors, panels, hinges, or latches as needed.
